1️⃣ How long does the Pharmacy Technician program take? The program is self-paced, but most students complete it in 27 weeks. You can finish faster or take your time based on your schedule.
2️⃣ Is this program 100% online? Yes! All 480 hours of coursework are completely online. However, you’ll also complete a 120-hour externship at a pharmacy arranged by HSTi for hands-on experience.
3️⃣ Do I need prior experience in healthcare? No experience is required! This program is designed for beginners and covers everything you need to know to start a career as a Pharmacy Technician.
4️⃣ What certification will I be eligible for after completing the program? You’ll be prepared to take the Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam (PTCE) by PTCB or the ExCPT exam by NHA, making you eligible to work as a certified Pharmacy Technician.
5️⃣ Will I receive job placement assistance after graduation? Yes! Our Career Services Team provides resume help, interview preparation, job search guidance, and employer connections to help you start your career.
6️⃣ Is an externship required, and where will I complete it? Yes, all students must complete a 120-hour externship, which is included in your tuition. We arrange placements at local pharmacies, retail chains, and hospitals across California.
